The Eaubottle Project

In 2018 childhood friends Tomas and Björn launched their idea on Kickstarter: Drill water wells in Africa through selling premium vacuum bottles. The minimalistic Scandinavian design by Henrik Johansson outperforms all tested competitors on the market in keeping drinks hot and cold.

United Nations

Björn has a background from 11 years on the board of the United Nations Fund in Sweden and knew that donors to charities in general are worried that their money may not reach its target. Being able to trace the money and showing that it makes a difference on the other side of the planet is tricky. Having many friends among the charitable community, Eaubottle managed to find local charities and operators that could ensure that we can trace the money from every bottle to exactly a GPS location for the water well it financed. We interview the villagers and put their stories on the carton box. Each water well has its own box, so if you collect several Eaubottle from different wells you will get several stories on the boxes.

Drill first

In order to ensure our customers that the a water well is achieved to 100%, Björn and Tomas decided to personally finance and drill the wells prior to selling any bottles. Eaubottle has since always financed and drilled the water wells prior to selling the bottles.

You can thereby be certain your money reaches its target.  Fresh water for people in need.

Here is a video from when we visited one of our wells in the village of Bulingin.

Carolina Gynning

As the bottles for the first well in Bulingin sold out Tomas and Björn decided to personally fund the drilling of two more wells in Kogri and Sampina, Ghana. This time Swedish celebrity Carolina Gynning joined on the trip. Her bottles sold out rapidly and now one of her paintings is featured as an annual collectible bottle.

Then we got great help from TV-personality Clara Henry who promotes out "Pride" bottle. In addition to the water well, this bottle contributes €4 to the LGBTQIA+ community in Africa, where it often is illegal to be gay.

Now we are also joining hands with internationally known Swedish artist, photographer and YouTuber Jonna Jinton. We just love the captivating storytelling and her stunning visuals celebrating nature...it simply look awesome on the bottles.

Water well

Lack of fresh water at childbirth is a huge problem and our water wells, often installed in direct conjunction to the CPHS primary care unit of the village, helps to cut mortality rates. The water from our Eaubottle literally saves lives and we continuously ensure that the wells remain fully operational.

And you are giving water to a fellow human for 7 years in Ghana. Not bad!

Please help share our cause…  Perhaps you know a company that could use Eaubottle as giveaways? Perhaps you are involved in a sports club or school that wants to earn money selling our bottles?

There are millions of water bottles sold every year. Imagine if a large share were Eaubottle…. That would give water to so many people and save so many lives.

Let’s drill a well!

Our wells

Well #9 Yaateng

Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg heard about us, ordered 1000 bottles at a generous price and WOW we could drill another well, here in Yaateng with 1126 villagers, making life less hard in this very dry area.

Well #8 Dahile

The village of Dahile in North West Ghana finally got its first water well (and Eaubottles 8th). Before, the 2200 villagers had 2km to the nearest water source, but as we drilled this well next to the village primary care hut, a midwife has now been stationed at Dahile and women in the area can give births safely here thanks to the availability of clean water.
